What We Believe

Our Foundation

Greek Faith Life is a Christian ministry rooted in historic, orthodox Christianity. The following statement of faith expresses the theological convictions that guide our teaching, leadership, and ministry.

01

Scripture

We believe the Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired Word of God, fully trustworthy and authoritative in all that it affirms. Scripture alone is the final and sufficient authority for faith, life, and practice, revealing all that is necessary for salvation and godly living.

02

God

We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—who is holy, loving, sovereign, and worthy of all worship and obedience.

03

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life in perfect obedience to the Father, taught with divine authority, performed mighty works, was crucified for our sins, bearing the judgment we deserved, bodily rose from the dead, ascended into heaven, and will return in glory to judge the living and the dead.

04

Salvation

We believe that salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone, and not earned by human effort or works. Through His atoning death and resurrection, Jesus reconciles sinners to God, granting forgiveness of sins, new life, and eternal hope.

05

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, regenerates those who believe, indwells all followers of Jesus, and empowers them to live godly lives, grow in holiness, and participate in God’s mission in the world.

06

Humanity

We believe all people are created in the image of God and therefore possess inherent dignity and worth. Because of sin, humanity is separated from God and in need of redemption, which is found only in Jesus Christ.

07

The Church

We believe the Church is the body of Christ, made up of all who place their faith in Jesus, and expressed locally through gospel-centered congregations. The Church exists to glorify God by worshiping Him, making disciples, loving one another, and bearing faithful witness to the gospel in the world.

08

The Christian Life

We believe followers of Jesus are called to love God and love others, to grow in obedience to Christ, and to live lives marked by holiness, humility, justice, mercy, and faithfulness. Good works are the fruit of salvation, not the basis of it.

09

The Mission of the Church

We believe Jesus calls His followers to make disciples of all nations. We participate in this mission by proclaiming the gospel, making disciples, and seeking the renewal of individuals and communities for the glory of God.

10

Future Hope

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead and the final judgment, in which God will righteously judge all people. Those who trust in Christ will enjoy eternal life in His presence; those who reject Him will face eternal separation from God. We long for the return of Christ, the renewal of all things, and the fullness of God’s kingdom to come.
